Formula 1 fans are well aware of the famous Fairmont Hairpin Curve on the legendary Monaco track. It is the slowest corner across all F1 circuits, where powerful racing cars must overcome the most dangerous bend – one that both engineers and drivers prepare for in a special way.
And it was right here, at the Fairmont Monte Carlo Hotel in mid-September, that the annual convention of EPTDA – the European Power Transmission Distributors Association – took place.
This year, 233 companies joined the pit stop, and for the tenth year in a row, Ukraine was represented by its sole “car” on the grid – Beltimport. What makes this event special is that only top managers of leading companies attend – those who directly make the most important decisions.
Although every year the association welcomes newcomers, who receive special attention, overall the atmosphere still feels like a big family – with endless handshakes, hugs, small talk, and jokes. Networking happens constantly and everywhere – not only during official meetings, but also over breakfast, in elevators, near the coffee station, or even in restrooms.
What stood out this time?
Renowned analytical agencies presented their forecasts for the coming years across industries, countries, and markets. Futurists emphasized trends that will soon play a decisive role and influence most business processes (and not just AI).
Beltimport held 19 official meetings – both with long-standing reliable partners and with companies that may become such in the future. There were also engaging discussions with executives of competing brands.
As always, the event was held at a very high level: participants exchanged ideas and experiences, discussed pressing issues, and laid the groundwork for future cooperation.
Naturally, many were particularly interested in Beltimport’s experience as a company that managed to grow its business during wartime, with all its challenges and risks. Everyone wanted to hear what Ukrainians and Ukrainian businesses feel and face today. Of course, we spoke not only about the difficult and frightening realities, but also about the resilience, flexibility, and creativity of Ukrainian business.
We sincerely thank EPTDA for organizing this gathering in Monte Carlo, and all its members for the opportunities provided by this incredible community.
We truly hope that in September 2026, at the next convention, we will be able to share with our partners stories of Ukraine’s post-war recovery. But in order to defeat evil, the world must still make great efforts. From our side, we will do everything possible to bring this moment closer!
