No special premises and bulky equipment are required for joining belts with the help of mechanical fasteners, and the process itself is simpler and quicker than that of obtaining vulcanized connection. The mechanical locks may be of 2 types: hinge clips and non-detachable ones and, by method of fastening, rivet and bolt ones. The used materials include: plate steel, stainless steel (for chemically aggressive processes), non-magnetic alloy (for provision of explosion-proof condition), as well as other alloys for special conditions (impact loads, abrasion resistance).
