Problem:

A cement plant faced the need to replace its old pan conveyor for hot clinker. Its performance and maintenance costs no longer met the client’s expectations. The key requirements for the new conveyor were: higher throughput, resistance to temperatures up to 250 °C, energy efficiency, reliability in harsh operating conditions, and the ability to fit within the existing installation footprint.

Solution:

Beltimport acted as the main contractor for the project. Our specialists inspected the site, agreed on the technical specifications, and engaged subcontractors — the conveyor manufacturer and the automation controls supplier. The design of the new conveyor (not apron-type like the old one, but a belt conveyor) incorporated modern high-quality components — a heat-resistant fabric-reinforced rubber belt (Gummilabor), cleaners, drive and tracking systems (Flexco), electric motors (SEIPEE), and fluid couplings (Transfluid). All stages of the project, from design to commissioning, were carried out according to the approved schedule.

Result:

All project objectives were achieved: the customer received a more productive, more energy-efficient conveyor with a lower total cost of ownership. The conveyor was installed in the space previously occupied by the old apron conveyor. The entire scope of work was delivered on a turnkey basis.
