We start the year by investing in our people. The Beltimport production team completed a two-day training program “Building Lean Manufacturing. Kaizen Methodology”, developed by BPI Group and certified by the Council for Six Sigma Certification (USA).

The goal of the training was not just to “introduce Lean,” but to develop practical continuous-improvement skills within the team: how to identify and assess the level of waste in production, how to manage workflow, and how to increase productivity without adding resources or putting extra strain on employees.

The focus was on real manufacturing challenges: time losses, firefighting, and process standardization.

The program was built on a balance of theory and hands-on practice through a simulation game that recreated the conditions of a real manufacturing enterprise.

Over two days, the team went through four stages:

  • analyzing the current state (“as-is” process);
  • identifying and measuring waste;
  • implementing improvements;
  • evaluating the financial and operational impact after each step.

Participants worked with Lean tools such as:
5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, visual management, and standardization — not in theory, but in real team-based practice.

Within the simulation, the team managed to make the production process faster, more flexible, more autonomous, and more profitable.

And most importantly, we achieved a shared understanding of the value we create for our customers.
