What makes SIBAN corrugated sidewall rubber belts different?
Sidewall conveyor belts is used where the bulk material should be transported at a large angle or vertically.
What distinguishes a quality corrugated sidewall belt?
∙ the presence of transverse reinforcement (cross-rigid belt technology);
∙ special bolted connection of sidewalls with cleats;
∙ additional walls for transporting materials with a large angle of repose;
∙ fabric reinforcement of sidewalls and cleats.
All of this is available from top manufacturers. And what distinguishes Siban?
The main factor in durability is the quality of the connection of sidewalls with the base belt. Usually, cold vulcanization is used for the connection, that is, gluing with cold vulcanizing cement. But even the best cold vulcanizing cement lose strength (ages) faster than the rubber of the belt.
In addition, the connection is subject to cyclic mechanical loads, and sometimes cyclic temperature changes. Therefore, the quality of the connection of sidewalls with the base belt is so important.
Well, Siban makes the connection using the hot vulcanization, when the sidewall and the base belt are fused into one whole. Thanks to this, Siban corrugated sidewalls belts are strong and durable.
