New conveyor belt for the food industry from Forbo
In the food industry, it is important not only to ensure the efficiency of technological processes but also to guarantee a high level of product safety.
One of the biggest challenges in food production is maintaining the reliable performance of conveyor belts under high temperatures and constant contact with fats. Standard polyurethane or silicone-based belts do not always meet these demands. They may deform, lose their properties, or even delaminate due to overheating or exposure to aggressive substances.
For these conditions, Forbo has developed the new dual-layer belt Forbo Transilon E 4/2 U0/U2 HACCP-FF-PS-HT blue FDA, which is perfectly suited for production environments where temperatures exceed 100-120°C and can withstand short-term exposure up to 130°C.
The belt has FDA approval, which allows it to be used in food processing processes, such as feeding and removing products from ovens in the baking industry, on meat processing lines, and forming chocolate and cereal bars. It fully complies with HACCP safety and hygiene standards, making it an essential component for enterprises implementing a food safety management system.
Another important advantage of this tape is its abrasion resistance. Thanks to the use of high-quality polyurethane, the tape has increased resistance to wear, which significantly extends its service life compared to other materials.
The Transilon belt has several important design features:
- dual-layer structure – 45 mm thickness provides extra strength and stability.
- supports knife-edge transfers down to 3 mm, allowing its use in various conveyor systems.
- blue color (RAL 5015) not only enhances aesthetics but also reduces light reflection, improving visibility during production monitoring and preventing discoloration to an unpleasant yellow hue.
- thanks to the special fray-free fabric construction, the belt does not fray at the edges, which prevents contamination of the conveyed products.
- рre-shrunk fabric ensures that the ribbon retains its shape and reduces the risk of deformation.
The tape has been successfully tested at Mondelez in Spain and has been recognized for its highest standards of efficiency and compliance with international requirements.
