Problem:

Ingress into cookies of fibers visually resembling human hairs due to friction of conveyor belts against conveyor elements. A part of finished products was rejected.

Solution:

Solution: Use of Frayfree belts made by Forbo. These belts have a high resistance to fraying over the entire area. This is achieved due to use of innovative composite materials and technologies in their manufacture. Frayfree belt meets all the requirements for transportation of non-packed foodstuffs and is resistant to sticking product to it. During experiment, the belt was installed at the sector of cookie transportation from glazing machine to cooling conveyor and further to packing place, where the most heavy technological conditions exist. After the belt had shown excellent results at this sector, beyond expectation of mechanics both as to absence of fibers in the finished product and extension of service life, the belts of some other sectors were replaced by Frayfree series belts (Forbo).

Result:

The product rejection due to getting conveyor belt fibers into foodstuff is eliminated. The belt service life is increased by 37%.
